Peace Corps is full of acronyms and specific terms, so if I intend to use any of them regularly I'll attempt to put them up here as a reminder.
CHIP: community health improvement project, one of four PC projects in Zambia and the one I'm in
ClaRC: Clarkston-Rollins Connection, a community engaged learning program at Rollins where there are weekly classroom sessions and also volunteering with refugees in Clarkston
COS: Close of Service
LIFE: linking food income and environment, one of four PC projects in Zambia
MI: Master's International, a program that combines grad school and Peace Corps service
PC: Peace Corps
PCT: Peace Corps Trainee
PCV: Peace Corps Volunteer
PST: Pre-service Training
RAP: rural aquaculture promotion, one of four PC projects in Zambia
RED: rural education development, one of four PC projects in Zambia
RPCV: Returned Peace Corps Volunteer
Staging: A couple days before you depart for your country of service, you all meet up in the U.S. for paperwork, introductions, etc. Ours is in Philadelphia.
